Astro Products, Inc. is a manufacturer and reseller of cleaning products for a variety of industries (including meat packing plants, hatcheries, bakeries, nut processors, canning facilities, and a variety of other food product manufacturers). We work with clients to provide chemical formulations, equipment, and processes that fit individual cleaning and sanitation requirements. Our objective is to provide quality products coupled with innovative processes that solve the most difficult cleaning problems. 

We started in 1973 by building on a family history of solving problems. At first we focused on cleaning smokehouses; no small task since we are talking about baked-on carbonized cooking by-products that pose many dangers, including fire. We addressed this issue by formulating Astro Clean ACP-10, one of the first self-foaming liquid caustic cleaners. This unique formula has been used extensively for cleaning smokehouses, stainless steel food processing equipment and other demanding industrial environments.

Astro Products ACP-10 is a surfactant blend exhibiting unusual solubility and surface activity. This cleaner contains emulsifiers and sequestrants and is formulated especially for use in all departments of meat and poultry plants. ACP-10 removes heavy soils quickly, holding them in suspension to prevent redeposition on the surface and rinses clean. ACP-10 is a Self-Foaming cleaner and works well in foaming equipment without the need to add expensive foaming agents. Cleans processing equipment, belts, conveyors, vats, smokehouses, hooks and trolleys, ham molds, meat massagers, smoke trees, walls, and floors. Use as a soak tank cleaner for soaking heavily soiled parts such as oven trays, stainless steel smoke sticks, ham molds, hooks and trolleys.

Astro Products ACP-10

Astro Products SUPER CLEAN 500 is a highly concentrated neutral cleaner containing a combination of detergents and solvents for quick and easy removal of most types of soil. Highly effective in the removal of animal fats, grease and vegetable oils. Concentrated, as little as one ounce per gallon of water does most cleaning jobs. SUPER CLEAN 500 is a high foaming detergent that is safe for use on all surfaces. Particularly effective when applied with one of the foamers available from Astro Products.

Astro Products HOT FOAM is a powerful concentrate formulated especially for cleaning carbonized food soils from food processing equipment. Especially effective on nut roasting equipment, fryers, smokehouses and related equipment. This powerful formula removes carbonized grease residue, smoke deposits, burned on food soils, fats, oils and greases from food processing equipment. Suspends and removes tough soils easily with a clean rinse and fast drying time. Use in soak tanks for smaller parts then brush to remove stubborn soils.

Astro Products ASTRO MAX #1 is a low to no-foam maximum strength concentrate for use as a degreaser and carbon remover. ASTRO MAX #1 is low foaming for top performance in circulation, boilout, and soak applications. Removes carbonized grease residue, smoke deposits, burned on food soils, fats, oils and greases from food processing equipment.

Astro Products ACID CLEAN is a special blend of phosphoric acid and wetting agents formulated for use in removing inorganic soils and protein from equipment in food processing plants. Removes hard water scale, rust, oxidation, milk stone, etc. from processing equipment such as steam cookers, kettles, loaf molds, product piping, glass board, smokehouses, cook vats. Softens and dissolves inorganic soils and protein films. Use ACID CLEAN to clean and brighten all types of stainless steel processing equipment. Spray, soak or manually apply to give excellent results. No offensive odors and regular use keeps your equipment looking like new.

This powerful cleaner is formulated with highly effective detergents, chelating agents, and grease dissolving chemicals for rapid cleaning. ULTRA CLEAN is the ultimate choice for cleaning all types of food processing equipment – even heavily soiled smokehouse floors.

Astro Products FOAMIT is a highly concentrated foaming cleaner that is designed to remove stubborn and heavy soils such as fats, oils, and greases. This powerful cleaner is biodegradable and very effective with emulsifiers, chelating agents, corrosion inhibitors and grease dissolving chemicals for rapid cleaning. May be applied with a foamer or by hand with scrub brush or nylon scouring pad. Can also be used to make fresh solutions of a caustic chlorinated foam by metering into a foamer with Astro Max No. 1 and sodium hypochlorite. Your Astro representative will assist you with choosing the proper metering device.

Astro Products FRYER CLEANER is a low to no-foam maximum strength super concentrate especially developed to clean fryers in bakeries, snack food plants, meat and poultry plants. FRYER CLEANER is designed for top performance in circulation, boilout, and soak applications. Removes carbonized grease residue, smoke deposits, burned on food soils, fats, oils and greases from food processing equipment. Formulated for stability at elevated temperatures, FRYER CLEANER will not lose its effectiveness at the boil.
