Our company has its origins in 1864. At that time we were founded by Conrad Wilhelm Schmidt as a paint and varnish factory, which is now a family company in the 5th generation.

By hiving off the synthetic resin division, a legally independent company was created at the beginning of 1999, which has been operating under the name ""Atcoat GmbH"" since January 1st, 2009 to differentiate it more clearly from the previous paint business."
