Augaherb Beetroot Botanical Extract is derived from the Sea Beet (B. maritima, Linn.), which grows wild on the coasts of Europe, North Africa and Asia, as far as India, and is found in muddy maritime marshes in many parts of England, a tall, succulent plant, about 2 feet high, with large, fleshy, glossy leaves, angular stems and numerous leafy spikes of green flowers.foot. Beetroot is a native of South Europe and extensively cultivated as an article of food and especially for the production of sugar, and presents many varieties.

Augustus Oils Ltd. Ambrette Seed Absolute (aromatherapy) is produced from the essential (distilled) oil either by neutralization and subsequent elimination of the fatty acids, or it is steam distilled from the extracted (true) concrete. In other words, the absolute is the essential oil minus the fatty acids which are solid and insoluble in cold alcohol. They also tend to produce a rancid odor in ambrette seed oil upon aging.

Augustus Oils Ltd. Cedarwood Oil Atlas (aromatherapy) is also known as “ Moroccan” Cedarwood Oil. The oil is entirely different, chemically and olfactory from the American Virginia or Texas cedarwood oils. The tree, Cedrus Atlantica, is a pine, not a cypress (such as the American and East African cedars). It is believed that the Atlas cedar is originated from the famous Lebanon cedars which grow wild in Lebanon and in the island of Cyprus, now protected from being felled for essential oil distillation and lumbering. The Atlas cedarwood oil may occasionally be offered as Lebanon Cedarwood Oil. Its scientific name is juniperus virginiana.

Augustus Oils Ltd. Angelica Root Essential Oil is a water-white or pale yellow to orange-brown colored liquid. Its color and viscosity varies according to the root material used for distillation and according to the age of the oil. The main constituent is Phellandrene, a monoterpene of comparatively minor value in perfumes and flavors. It is responsible for the light, somewhat peppery top note of oils from young roots. Beneath the peppery topnote grows a rich, somewhat herbaceous-earthy, woody body- note of unique tenacity and great diffusive power. The note is also slightly musky, animal-like with a spicy undertone. Various lactones, occurring in trace amounts in the oil, are held responsible for these special effects of the oil and for the synergistic effect it imparts to other perfume materials in compositions.

Augustus Oils Ltd. Augaherb Bay Leaf Botanical Extract is a small tree, growing in Britain to a height of about 8 meters, but in warmer climates reaching as much as 20 meters. The smooth bark may be olive-green or of a reddish hue. The luxurious, evergreen leaves are alternate, with short stalks, lanceolate, 75 to 100 mm long, the margin smooth and wavy. They are thick, smooth, and of a shining, dark green color. The flowers are small, yellow and unisexual, and grow in small clusters.

Augustus Oils Ltd. Alanroot Essential Oil is distilled from the root of the elecampane plant, inula helenium. The root is thick, branching and mucilaginous, and has a bitter taste and a camphoraceous odor with sweet floral (similar to violet) undertones. Besides the storage polysaccharide inulin, a polymer of fructose, the root contains helenin, a phytochemical compound consisting of alantolactone and isoalantolactone.
