Lutensol® XP 40 is a nonionic surfactant manufactured by causing a C10-alcohol to react with ethylene oxide in stoichiometric proportions. It is a cloudy liquid at room temperature and tends to form sediment. The numeric code in the product name indicates the general degree of ethoxylation.

Lutensol® XP 80 is a 100% active product with very fast wetting and effective cleaning. It is readily biodegradable and has a lower tendency to form gels compared to longer-chain alcohol ethoxylates. Additionally, it is listed on the EPA’s Safer Chemical Ingredients List. The final surfactant choice would be formulation-dependent.

Kolliphor® ELP is a white to yellowish paste or cloudy liquid. It is a non-ionic solubilizer made by reacting castor oil with ethylene oxide in a molar ratio of 1:35. This is followed by a purification process. Kolliphor® ELP forms clear solutions in water and also dissolves in a wide range of organic solvents, such as ethanol, n-propanol, isopropanol, ethyl acetate, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, trichloroethylene, toluene and xylene.

Lutensol® XP 89 is a nonionic surfactant manufactured by causing a C10-alcohol to react with ethylene oxide in stoichiometric proportions. It is an alkyl polyethylene glycol ether based on C10-guerbet alcohol and ethylene oxide and is a clear liquid at room temperature. The numeric code in the product name indicates the general degree of ethoxylation.

Kollidon® SR is a mixture of 80% of polyvinyl acetate and 19% povidone (Kollidon® 30) in a physical mixture. Approximately 0.8% of sodium lauryl sulfate and about 0.2% of silica are used as stabilizers. It is supplied as slightly yellowish, free-flowing powder. Kollidon® SR Polymer is insoluble in water and very soluble in N-methylpyrrolidone.

Kollicoat® MAE 100-55 is a white redispersible powder with a faint characteristic odor. The product contains 0.7% sodium lauryl sulfate (USP) and 2.3% Polysorbate 80 (Ph. Eur.) as emulsifying agents. The fatty acids used in the manufacture of Polysorbate 80 are of vegetable origin. Kollicoat® MAE 100-55 is a weakly acidic copolymer that dissolves at a pH above 5.5. Kollicoat® MAE 100-55 dissolves in methanol and ethanol to yield clear to slightly cloudy solutions. It is also soluble in dilute alkaline solutions.

Kolliphor® HS15 is a yellowish white paste at room temperature that becomes a liquid at approximately 30°C. It dissolves in water, ethanol and 2-propanol to form clear solutions. Its solubility in water decreases with increasing temperatures. It is insoluble in liquid paraffin.

Lutensol® XP 79 is capable of producing very high initial foam, making it ideal for institutional cleaning and sanitation. It is available in both 85% active product and 85% aqueous solution forms. In solid form, it is slightly yellow, while in liquid form, it is slightly pasty. The product contains no preservatives and is recommended for use with Glucopon® surfactants to synergistically reduce skin irritation in food service and kitchen hygiene applications.

Lutensol® TO 89 is suitable for both manual and machine floor cleaning. The hydrophobe is based on saturated iso-C13 alcohol with moderate branching. It is an effective NP-9 replacement in commercial laundry, with a cloud point of 60°C and moderate foam. Blends of Lutensol TDA 6 and 9 provide synergistic cleaning for dirty motor oil and dust sebum stains.

Lutensol® XP 90 is a 100% active nonionic surfactant that enhances the wetting and degreasing power of foam cleaners. With its fast dynamics and excellent detergency on oily soils, it finds application in various fields, including dishwashing, laundry, hard surface cleaning, food and beverage processing, food service and kitchen hygiene, commercial and institutional laundry, and industrial cleaning.

Lutensol® XP 70 is a 100% active product suitable for machine and manual floor cleaning as a low-foaming degreasing agent. It is readily biodegradable, has a lower tendency to form gel compared to longer-chain alcohol ethoxylates, and is listed on Safer Choice. The final surfactant choice, however, would be formulation-dependent.

Kollidon® CL Crosslinked Polymer is supplied as fine white or almost white powder. It has a slight characteristic odor and is practically tasteless. It is insoluble in all of the usual solvents.

Lutensol® XP 50 is an excellent wetting agent composed of C10 Guerbet Alcohol Ethoxylate POE (5) with 100% active content. It is a highly effective substitute for NP-6. The product is synthetically derived and readily degradable. Lutensol® XP 50 is suitable for a wide range of formulation types, including emulsifier concentrates, oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions, microemulsions, suspension concentrates, suspo-emulsions, soluble liquids, and wettable powders.

Lutensol® XP 30 is a dynamic wetting agent with a C10 Guerbet Alcohol Ethoxylate POE (3) composition and 100% active content. It is synthetically derived and readily degradable. This product is suitable for various formulation types, including emulsifier concentrates, oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions, microemulsions, suspension concentrates, suspo-emulsions, soluble liquids, and wettable powders.

Kollicoat® IR is a white to faintly yellow free-flowing powder. The polymer consists of 75% polyvinyl alcohol units and 25% polyethylene glycol units. The product also contains approx. 0.3% colloidal anhydrous silica to improve its flow properties. As a result of its structure, the polymer dissolves very readily in acidic, neutral and alkaline aqueous media.

Kolliphor® SLS Fine is a white to off-white powder with faint characteristic odor. The product tends to agglomerate. The agglomerates exhibit a yellowish to brownish color and are completely soluble by heating and stirring. Solubilizing, the agglomerates does not influence the product quality. The product is characterized by a very high active substance matter and a very low content of inorganic salts and unsulfated fatty alcohol. Preferred areas of application are pharmaceutical emulsion, tablets and cream shampoos.

Kolliphor® PS 80 is an amber liquid with a faint characteristic odor. Kolliphor® PS 80 is used as a non-ionic surfactant and oil-in-water emulsifier, as plasticizer in a range of solid dispersions and oral dosage forms. It is a non-ionic, hydrophilic emulsifier with broad pH range applicability and good skin tolerance in topical formulations.
