- Product Highlights
Rehydravet contains polyionic salts, which are used for recovery of electrolyte and acid/base imbalances. The amino acid glycine is added for a quicker recovery of the dehydrated animals. Sodium and potassium ions restore normal functioning of myocardial and intestinal membranes, skeletal muscle. Sodium citrate increases the content of sodium ions in the body, prevents acidosis. Sodium chloride stimulates gastric glands and promotes secretion of hydrochloric acid and pepsin in the stomach, increases peristalsis, activates the absorption of nutrients. It provides anti-putrescent action in case of inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. Potassium chloride supports metabolic processes, water and electrolyte balance, the intracellular osmotic pressure and replenishes potassium deficiency. It participates in nerve impulses conducting, decreases irritability of the heart muscle and toxic effects of cardiac glycosides on the heart acting as antagonist.
Following oral administration, the animals intestinal absorptive mechanisms remain functional. Rehydravet is a product of low hazard without sensitizing, embryotoxic, teratogenic and mutagenic actions.
