Bell Plastics UHMWPE Film is made up of extremely large polyethylene molecules. UHMWPE has excellent wear resistance, a low coefficient of friction, high toughness, and excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals and solvents due to the size of these molecules combined with the chemical stability of polyethylenes. To precise tolerances, we skive our films from solid blocks of pressed and sintered UHMWPE resin. Before pressing, small amounts of carbon and other additives are added to the UHMWPE to modify the properties of different grades, such as making electrically conductive or UV-resistant types.
