- Product Background
- Originally from South-East Asia, GRAPEFRUIT is a tree cultivated since more than 4 000 years for its edible fruit, grapefruit. It is a citrus with an important size, with a spherical shape, more or less flat or pyriform. Its peel is rough and thick, yellow-green and contains a flesh, liked for its acid and bitter taste, most of the time drunk. It distinguishes between its cousins, the pomelo, frequently called “grapefruit” in everyday language. Many medicinal virtues are allocated to it; purifying and cholesterol-lowing, grapefruit helps to digest and tone the body.

Technical Details & Test Data
- Floral Waters Manufacturing Process
- Grapefruit water is obtained by steam distillation. During its manufacture, the aromatic compounds contained in grapefruit barks are extracted by steam distillation and then recovered by decantation. The use of steam helps extract active plant principles without changing their nature, and without organic solvents or chemical treatments. This environmentally sound process helps preserve the biological properties and olfactory wealth of floral waters. Grapefruit water is truly “active”. Given that water is frequently the main component in cosmetic formulations, it can be fully or partially replaced by floral water to help boost the effectiveness of active ingredients and add a delicate fragrance to your natural formula. These transparent and colorless ingredients are easy to formulate and suitable for all skin types.
