- Product Background
- The fruit of the PEACH tree is a symbol of longevity in China and its blossoms are emblematic of loyalty in Japan. The name peach comes from Latin Persica, which can be misleading. In fact, the peach tree is not native to Persia, but was first cultivated in China more than 5,000 years ago. There are several peach varieties throughout the world. These edible fruits are coming in many shapes: round, flat or long, with fuzzy or smooth skin and white or yellow flesh. Its flowers, fruits and leaves have long been known for their proven healing properties. The fruit’s beneficial effects on the skin are best expressed in a famous saying “to have peach soft skin” referring to its velvety soft smoothness.

Technical Details & Test Data
- Botanical Extract Manufacturing Process
- Peach botanical extract comes from leaves. It is manufactured through plant extraction at 40°C, a 2-hour process using only green solvents, under agitation. The low temperature and short kinetics help maintain the integrity of the active molecules, while extracting the maximum amount of target compounds. The extraction solvent is a mixture of glycerin and water (50:50). The depleted peach leaves and impurities are then eliminated through filtration. Environmentally sound as it reduces energy consumption, this process preserves the quality of peach botanical extract while keeping its denaturation to a minimum. Moreover, it is easy to formulate and compatible with water-based cosmetics formulas.
