Melochem Molding Compound 791 by BI-QEM is a melamine-formaldehyde resin reinforced with high-class cellulose and modified with special purpose additives, pigments, cure regulators and lubricants. It offers good hardness, glossy surface with excellent scratch and chemical resistance. It provides resistance against surfactants and weak bases. It is recommended for household and foodservice applications including dinnerware, ramekins, ashtrays, jugs, ladles, and bowls. Melochem Molding Compound 791 is also suitable for the manufacture of retail, commercial and military grade buttons. The molded products can be recycled and exhibit low water absorption properties. It has a shelf life of 6 months.

    • Melochem is particularly well-suited for molding food contact products, including quality dinnerware for domestic and commercial food service. Melochem molded articles are specifically approved for food contact. Additional applications include Serving Trays, Buttons, Ashtrays, Pharmaceutical Closures, Wiring Devices, Cutlery and Kitchen utensil handles.
    • Adding decorative overlays during the molding cycle can enhance the appearance of the molded articles.
    • Melochem compounds are suitable for both compression and injection molding and are available in fine powder and granular forms (dry granulation process)
