Bio Agri Mix Neo-Tetramed

Neo-tetramed is a water soluble antibiotic powder for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections in chickens, turkeys, swine and calves. Neo-tetramed contains two antibiotics: neomycin and tetracycline. The first one is known for its action against e. Coli and other bacteria in the digestive systems, and the second one is a broad-spectrum antibiotic readily absorbed from the digestive tract for activity throughout the body.

Active Ingredients

 100 g contains 20 g Tetracycline HCl USP and 20 g Neomycin sulfate USP (14 g of neomycin base).

Applications & Uses

Indications

Chickens and Turkeys - For use as an aid in the treatment of infectious diseases caused by micro-organisms sensitive to tetracycline and neomycin such as C.R.D., bluecomb, synovitis and enteritis.

Swine and Calves - As an aid in the treatment of scours (bacterial enteritis) and respiratory diseases.

Dosage And Administration

Chickens and Turkeys - Add 400 to 800 g per 900 L of drinking water for 3 to 5 days.

Swine (scours) - Add 2 g of powder to 170 mL of water, per 45 kg of body weight as a drench or mix 100 g per 225 L of drinking water for 4 or 5 days.

Newborn piglets (scours) - Mix 4 g of powder with 60 mL of water and give 5 mL of the solution to each piglet 2 times a day for 4 or 5 days.

Swine and newborn piglets (respiratory diseases) - Add 4 g of powder to 170 mL of water per 45 kg of body weight or 200 g per 225 L of drinking water and give for 4 or 5 days.

Calves (scours) - Individual treatment: Add 2 g of powder to 60 mL of water or milk substitute per 45 kg of body weight as a drench.

Herd treatment: Add 2 g of powder per 4.5 L of water or 100 g per 225 L of drinking water for 4 or 5 days.

Calves (respiratory diseases) - Double the above dose.

NOTE

Fresh solutions should be prepared each day. The dose is based on an average water intake. Care must be taken to ensure adequate water intake.

One teaspoon (5 mL) equals 4 g.

Treated animals must not be slaughtered for at least: calves - 30 days, swine - 14 days, turkeys - 14 days, broiler chickens - 7 days, after the latest treatment with this drug. This product must not be used in laying birds
