B. licheniformis can secrete plant phytohormones that encourage healthy growth and enhances plants’ cold tolerance ability. Bio-Green Planet® Bacillus megaterium is a common agricultural bacterium that is often used as a biofertilizer to increase phosphorus (P) availability in crops. The bacterial strain produces organic acids which release phosphorus ions from otherwise inaccessible substances in soil. These acids dissolve insoluble soil phosphates through chelation which increases the levels of phosphorus in soil that are available for root uptake.

Bio-Green Planet® Bacillus pumilus increases the degradation speed of crop residues and organics, which increases the availability of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and other nutrients in the soil. The bacterial strain promotes seed germination and the growth of roots, buds, and seedlings. It also plays a significant growth-promoting role in the common model plant Arabidopsis, along with peppers, tobacco, and soybeans.
