    Product Background

Its economic value is based mainly in the manufacture and sale of pulp, appreciated in the form of juice, cream, sweets and other culinary processing. Although they constitute about 20% of the weight of the fruit and having high nutritional value, the seeds are virtually disposed of in the fruit processing.

Lately, due to its similarity with cocoa beans Cupuacu, or “Cupuassu” beans have been used in the manufacture of products similar to chocolate. The industrialization process of Cupuacu occurs similarly to the cocoa beans comprising the steps of fermentation, drying, and pressing.
