    Product Background

In the State of Minas Gerais there are large populations of Macaúba with large swaths of high density located in the northern region. The fruits are of extreme importance to the preservation of the Cerrado biome and several native fauna species

The ripe fruit consists of epicarp (external peel), oily and stringy flesh (pulp), endocarp (brown) and one or two almonds from where a clear light oil high in lauric acid, with virtually no scent, is extracted

Artisanally made by generations of small farmers, Macaúba oil is used internally as cooking oil as well as a topical home remedy and soaps for treatment of several skin ailments.

It is highly beneficial for restoring damaged hair, bringing more shine, softness and intense hydration without leaving the strands heavy or greasy, besides repairing the chemical effects of the iron straightening.
