In addition to our data, the biochemical description of the pathways involved in the synthesis of NAD+ supports these claims: (1) Niacin enters the NAD+ synthetic pathway as an intermediate increasing de novo synthesis; and (2) Ribose drives the reconstitution of purine nucleotides, which are imperative for the synthesis of NAD+ at several points in the pathway. It is in this mechanistic coupling where the synergistic aspect relates to our investigation. Additional studies are currently underway.
Figure 1: RiaGev Effectively Increases NAD+ Levels in Blood After RiaGev ingestion, NAD+ levels increase steadily at all dosages in a dose-dependent manner. The NAD+ levels reach their plateau after 4 days (8 doses) of supplementation.
