Bionova Bionova Ca 15

Bionova Ca 15 often appears in the cell walls and membranes and plays a special role in the ion-reactions within plants. Calcium is transported in the plant by means of water conduction (xylem). In situations with a high humidity or in a compact crop the rate of conduction is small and can lead to a deficiency of calcium. A deficiency of calcium leads to softened cell walls which manifests itself immediately in an increased sensitivity to fungi. and the dying off of young leaves and growing points. Also an excess of calcium can occur. which results into brown spots on the leaves.

    Calcium defiency agent

Food grade mineral fertilizer 15% calcium, Bionova Ca 15. Calcium plays an important role in stabilizing the cell walls, ion-reactions within plants, influencing growth hormones and it controls the transport of nutrients and water in your plant. In situations with a high humidity or in a compact crop the rate of conduction is small and can lead to a deficiency of calcium. Plants directly absorb all food grade minerals to provides optimal control of your plants.

    Tips from Bionova growers
    • When yellow parts with brown round dots occur on the leaves it is a calcium (Ca) deficiency, apply Ca 15 to the culture. To quickly recovering plants from the nutritional shortage.
    • Use Ca 15 weekly during fruits formation to prevent commons physio pathologies like apical rot in tomatoes, bitter pitting of apple tree, fruit cracking and dried leafs in lettuce for example.
    • When growing in humid environments double the dosage of Ca 15 to strengthen plant tissues.
    • Use 3 times the normal dose of Ca15 when using soft water or Reverse Osmosis Water.
    • Use Ca 15 to harden the sprout’s tissues on mother plants just before cutting the clones, in preparation for a healthier rooting.
    • To produce healthy seeds after the pollination occurs increase the dosage of Ca 15 together with MgO 10, both products contain Nitrogen which leads to a sufficient uptake of nutrients.
    • To prepare a personalized feeding schedule: use Bionova Ca 15 mono-nutrient, you can exactly decide the amount of calcium you are giving to your crop.
    • Mono nutrients can be used for outdoor growing. After checking the soil and (irrigation) water, Bionova mono nutrients adjusts the nutrition elements to guarantee enough available nutrients
    How to use Ca15?

Bionova Ca 15 should be applied when deficiencies occur and/or to strengthen cell walls.
Bionova Ca 15 is mixable with all Bionova fertilizers, stimulators, minerals, universals & substrates.
Bionova Ca 15 can be used as irrigation and as foliar spray.

    Applications

    Application in irrigation

    • In areas with soft water add to Supermixes 2-4 ml per 10 liters of water.
    • When using Reverse Osmosis Water add 5-15ml per 10 liters of water.
    • A dosage of 1:1000 increases the amount of Ca by 3.2 mmol.
