Birch Plastics High-Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) Regrind is a rubber modified version of GPPS (general purpose polystyrene). The addition of rubber to the formula increases the impact strength and flexibility.

Birch Plastics Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) has a highly diverse chain structure with a combination of both small and large side chains. The density of LDPE ranges between .910-.940 kg/ m3. LDPE exhibits high flexibility and retention of properties at low temperatures. Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) offers excellent corrosion resistance and low moisture permeability. LDPE can be used in applications in which corrosion resistance is of utmost importance while stiffness, high temperatures and structural strength are not. LDPE is a highly flexible type of polyethylene. It is used for strong, flexible consumer items such as screw caps and lids for bottles. LDPE is also commonly found in consumer packing, bags, bottles and liners.

Birch Plastics Polypropylene Copolymer (PPC) Izod is a bit softer than PPH, but it has greater impact strength and is tougher and more durable than homopolymer polypropylene. Copolymer polypropylene tends to have better stress crack resistance and low-temperature toughness than homopolymer at the expense of small reductions in other properties.

Birch Plastics Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) is a linear polymer polyethylene, with significant numbers of short branches, commonly made by copolymerization of ethylene with longer-chain olefins.

Birch Plastics BirCom AM05 is the active antimicrobial ingredients prevent it from growing, producing energy, replicating or inhibiting any further growth. BirCom AM05 antimicrobial does not wear off or leach out over time and provides long-lasting and effective product protection from microbes.

Birch Plastics High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is the sturdiest and most inflexible type of polyethylene within polyethylene applications. Its sturdy and moderately robust character can be used for a wide range of applications. HDPE is defined by having a density greater than or equal to .941 g/cm3. High-density polyethylene (HDPE) represents the most common portion of the polyethylene applications. HDPE offers excellent impact resistance, lightweight, low moisture absorption and high tensile strength. Additionally, HDPE is also nontoxic and non-staining.

Birch Plastics Polypropylene Homopolymer (PPH) Melt is the most widely utilized in the polypropylene family. PPH offers a high strength to weight ratio and boasts excellent stiffness, superior scratch resistance and good chemical resistance against most inorganic acids, alkalis and salts. Polypropylene homopolymer has superb weldability characteristics that allow this material to be used in many corrosion resistant structures.
