PMA-186 is composed of high-quality asphalt and highly compatible SEBS (styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene) and SIS (styrene-isoprene-styrene) polymers imparting excellent adhesive and waterproofing properties to the overall roof membrane system. PMA-186 adhesive contains a unique blend of special fibers resulting in superior sag resistance and excellent weathering characteristics. PMA-186 is a cold process adhesive with superior sag resistance and excellent weathering conditions.

Additional Product Advantages

  • The combination of SEBS and SIS polmers allows the adhesive to perform better at low temperatures and when exposed to the sun’s UV light.
  • Can be installed on slopes up to 3:12.
  • Since the adhesive is cold process, there is no need for torches or kettles on the job; helps ensure a more organized set up and fewer odors.

PMA-186 is ideal for roofing applications involving cold process membrane application. PMA-186 can be applied by spray , brush or notched squeegee. Apply at a rate of 2.0—2.5 gal/100ft². All safety and good roofing practices should be followed while applying this product. PMA-186 should be installed by a professional; roofing contractor having previous experience in the application methods described. Cold-process roofs should have a minimum slope of 1/4” per ft. to prevent standing water and should not be installed at temperatures below 50˚F or when rain is expected within 48 hours.

Note - Do not use this product on coal tar pitch roof. Dispose of unused portions and empty containers in accordance to local regulations.
