    Applications & Uses

    Directions

    For frying meat and vegetables on stove top or in the oven.

    1. Dip meat or vegetable in preferred dipping agent (see below for suggestions).
    2. Coat meat or vegetable in Bloomfield Farms® Seasoned Flour.
    3. Cook according to chart below.

    Egg dip: Place 2 eggs in a bowl and add 1 cup of water or milk and whisk thoroughly.
    Seasoned batter dip: For increased flavor, whisk together 1 cup Bloomfield Farms®
    Seasoned Flour and 2 cups water.

    Pan Frying
    Preheat 1 of oil in skillet to 350°F.

    • Chicken - Brown pieces over medium high heat, 5 minutes per side. Reduce heat, cover with lid, and cook 35-45 minutes, turning occasionally. Remove cover the last few minutes of frying for a crispier crust. Cook all poultry to a safe internal temperature of 170° F.
    • Fish Fry in open skillet over medium heat. Cook 8-12 minutes, turning occasionally. Cook all fish to a safe internal temperature of 150° F.
    • Pork Chops - Brown chops 5 minutes over medium high heat. Reduce heat, cover skillet, and cook until done, turning occasionally. Cook all pork products to a safe internal temperature of 170°F.
    • Vegetables - Green Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Onion Rings, Potatoes, Cauliflower, Okra, Eggplant, Zucchini
      Fry in open skillet, over medium heat approximately 3-5 minutes. Turn once, halfway through cooking.

    Oven Frying
    Preheat oven to 375°F.

    • Chicken - Place chicken in well-greased shallow pan. Evenly spray coated chicken with non-stick cooking spray and place on greased pan. Bake approximately 20-30 minutes on each side.
    • Fish-Place fish in well-greased shallow pan. Evenly spray coated fish with non-stick cooking spray and place on greased pan. Bake approximately 10-15 minutes on each side.
    • Pork Chops - Place chops in well-greased shallow pan. Evenly spray coated chops with non-stick cooking spray and place on greased pan. Bake approximately 20-30 minutes on each side.
    • Vegetables - Not advised

    Note: Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the meat or vegetables.
