BlueSky Chemical D-120 Crosslinking Agent

BlueSky Chemical D-120 Crosslinking Agent is used as a cross-linking agent for silicon rubber, and as a modifying agent for organic and inorganic resins. The ethyl group of ethyl silicate is replaced by the N-propyl group, so the speed of hydrolysis is slower than ethyl silicate.

    Technical Details & Test Data

    Reactivity

D120 is practically insoluble in neutral water and reacts only slowly to form silanols and higher condensation products. Addition of a hydrolytic catalyst (inorganic/organic acids, ammonia or amines) accelerates the hydrolysis of D-150 substantially.

    Storage & Handling

    Product Handling and Storage

The “Best use before end” date of each batch is shown on the product label. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
