Applications & Uses
- Cure Method
- Applications
- Binder systems that dry by oxidation, including:
- White and light-colored paints
- Binder systems that dry by oxidation, including:
- Dosage
- Experiments have shown that the necessary amount of Octa-Soligen® 69 should be between 0.25 and 1.00% relative to the solid binder, depending on the binder and the pigment system. This is equivalent to a cobalt content of 0.015 to 0.060 %. When using pigments which retard the drying process such as carbon black or toluidine red, a higher addition rate or special stabilization may be necessary. Suitable stabilizers are Octa-Soligen® Barium 12.5 and in particular Octa-Soligen® Calcium 10 which, in conjunction with cobalt and zirconium, further accelerates the drying process and provides long-term drier stability.
