Product Highlights

Borstar ME6056 contains 2.6 % well-dispersed carbon black to ensure excellent weathering resistance.
It is characterized by its tailor-made properties important in jacketing applications i.e. low shrink back, excellent stress crack resistance and wide processing window.

Borstar ME6056 is intended for jacketing of power and communication cables.

Processing Guidlines

Borstar ME6056 provides excellent surface finish and high output rates over a broad range of conditions.
For extrusion standard PE-screws are recommended, but also screws designed for PVC can be used with good result.
To minimize shrink back hot cooling water, min 60°C in the first cooling trough is strongly recommended.
Suggested melt temperature is in the range of 190 -210 °C dependant of construction and line speed.
If material preheating/pre-drying is used maximum recommended temperature is 90ºC.
