- Evabopol ® SEM a functional monomer which combines a highly reactive vinyl group with a sulfonic acid group. The unique properties of the sulfonic acid group make Evabopol ® SEM useful in many applications.
- Evabopol ® SEM is an efficient emulsion stabilizing co-monomer, which when used in low concentrations (1-2%), results in the formation of polymer dispersions that exhibit excellent stability to shear and compounding.
- The use of Evabopol ® SEM allows for substantial reduction in the level of conventional emulsifiers in emulsion polymer formulations.
- Evabopol ® SEM stabilized emulsions are free of high concentrations of nonvolatile and migratory surfactants. Thus Evabopol ® SEM promotes adhesions of polymers to various metals, thermoplastics, and, to a lesser degree, glass.
