Storage & Handling

Storage & Handling
  • Storage Stability: In sealed original packing 12 months from production date, see remarks below”.
  • Storage Conditions: Room temperature (max. 25°C)
  • Annotations: Content and acid number are valid for the day of production.

*) Thiocure® 440R is an ester product of 3-mercaptopropionic acid, and as such, tends to oxidize at contact with air. This is the main reason for a slow decrease of content. The evolving water causes a slight increase of the acid number. Storage time is valid exclusively for originally sealed packages. This product consists of Pentaerythritol tetra(3-mercaptopropionate), tri- and di-esters of Pentaerythritol with 3-Mercaptopropionic acid and traces of mono-ester. The CAS- and EC-registration numbers represent the tetra-ester as main component with a concentration of >80%.

  • Handling Guidelines: Consult the appropriate Safety Data Sheet for safety and handling guidelines for this product.
