Types Of Materials

 

VIRU-MULCH is a vegetable mulch based on wood chip, material with a coloring clear. It is used as a decorative material to cover flower beds and design xero-landscaping surfaces. It is also used as a control agent for erosion in areas of steep slopes.

FUSTA-MULCH is a vegetable mulch formed by wood chips. By its nature it is a mulch more compact than viru-mulch and slower degradation.


This mulch is used to cover the ground thus maintaining its humidity and avoiding weed outlet. It is also used in xero landscaping as protection against erosion on banks and as a decorative element in flowerbeds.

 

DECORATIVE BARK is pine bark subjected to a calibration process in different sizes - 8-15mm, 16-25mm, 10- 40 mm and 25-40 mm -.

 

Due to its color and physical appearance, it provides a natural environment and well cared for decoration of gardens and flowerbeds, bordering shrubs and highlighting groups of exemplary trees. It also acts as a mulch, favoring the maintenance of soil moisture and its progressive enrichment of organic matter

Characteristics

 

Mulch is any material, generally organic, which is placed on the ground around the plants and acting as a layer protective of the climatic changes that have place on the ground; mainly humidity and temperature.

At the same time, this protective layer, more or less dense depending on the material used, acts as a germination suppressing agent of weeds and provides an esthetic improvement to the set.

Depending on the nature of the product acts as mulch and its properties are differentiate the following products: VIRUMULCH, WHIP-MULCH and BARK of DECORATED.

Applications & Uses

Application

 

The mulch is applied on a soil not compacted, thus preventing the water flows into the soil-mulch interface and lose to runoff The thickness depends on the material used, but usually a 5-10 cm layer, spread out homogeneously is enough.

Some of the multiple applications of mulch are:

 

  • Erosion control along banks with pending.
  • Protection from climatic changes in the ground
  • Gradual contribution of organic matter on the floor
