- Burco HCS-1193NF is freely soluble in liquid caustic soda (50% NaOH) and liquid caustic potash (45% KOH). Burco HCS-1193NF is freely soluble in monoethanolamine. It has less compatibility with silicates and phosphates. Depending on the amount of Burco HCS-1193NF added, it is soluble in up to 10% anhydrous sodium metasilicate. It is also soluble in up to 25% tetrapotassium pyrophosphate. In mixed builder formulations, the solubility must be evaluated on a case by case basis.
- To modify formulations where Burco HCS-1193NF is less soluble, lower the level of silicate and/or phosphate. Solubility can be increased by adding more alkalinity (caustic soda or caustic potash).
- Burco HCS-1193NF is soluble in up to 40% phosphoric acid and high levels of other acids.
