- Burco RP-8888 is oil soluble and solvent extendable concentrate designed for use in formulating oil/solvent based rust preventive, lubricant, and penetrant.
- The product is a well-balanced blend of corrosion inhibitors, lubricant additives, and penetrating additives.
- Properties In Solvent Or Oil/Solvent Formulations
- Forms a protective, non-staining, oily film for short term, indoor and outdoor, rust protection.
- Leaves a thin oily film providing excellent protection on all metal surfaces.
- Exhibits excellent moisture displacing properties to rust preventive formulations made in low viscosity oil or solvent as a base.
- Is oil and solvent soluble and can easily be blended into neat oil or solvent formulations.
- Provides good boundary lubrication.
- Has a very mild odor.
- Films containing Burco RP-8888 are easily removed with an alkaline cleaner or by solvent degreasing.

- RP-8888 may be diluted at 10% w/w, or higher, in solvents such as 1400 °F flash point (TCC) heavy aliphatic petroleum naphtha or other higher flash point solvents with or without additional petroleum oil. Higher boiling point/flash point solvents may be used to meet any necessary VOC restrictions or requirements.
