Recommended Uses

It is used in upholstery (including outdoor patio furniture), carpets, boat covers, outer garments, shoes (NuBuck), tents/awnings, sportswear and golf bags, tarps, leather furniture

Formulation Guidelines

• Burco PEL-5556 is applied by spray coating.
• The product can be allowed to cure by air drying. However, accelerated drying (with a hair dryer or other dry air source) will result in increased oil repellency.
• Burco PEL-5556 may be diluted with up to 15 parts water. Additional solvent is required at higher dilution levels to extend the shelf life of the finished product (see below). Do NOT mix Burco PEL-5556 directly with the solvent. Either the solvent or the Burco PEL-5556 should be diluted in water first, then the other component should be added.

 

 

• If desired, dilutions of Burco PEL-5556 may be thickened to increase the residence time on vertical surfaces or surfaces that are difficult to wet. The thickened dilution will take longer to dry and will dry to an opaque film rather than a clear film. Repellent properties will not be affected.
