Typical applications include hard surface cleaners, built liquid laundry detergents, automatic dishwasher detergents and rinse aids, and hypochlorite containing detergents and sanitizers.

Functions: Anti-Foaming Agent, Dispersant, Foam Booster, Hydrotrope, Solubilizer, Viscosity Modifier

  • Efficient hydrotrope in moderate alkalinity
  • Cost effective for use in formulations that require extremely high levels (>15%) of sodium xylene sulfonate
  • Effectively elevates cloud points in built formulations and surfactant formulations
  • Controls viscosity in high surfactant content formulations
  • Has minimal effect on foaming; low foaming formulations remain low foaming
  • Hypochlorite compatible; can be used to couple hypochlorite containing formulations
  • Alkyl phenol ethoxylate (APE) free

Formulation Guidelines
  • Burcotrope 1250 is not suitable for low pH systems.
  • To increase the amount of foam generated, surfactants such as Burcoterge C2P-39 (amphoteric) or Burco COPB-35 (betaine) can be added to the formulation.
