Preparation:
1 Disperse Lubrajel DV in room temperature water with propeller
agitation. When it is fully dispersed, add remaining water phase
ingredients while heating and mixing to 75°C.
2 In a separate container, add the oil phase ingredients and heat
to 75°C.
3 Add the water phase at 75°C to the oil phase at 75°C,
mix for ten minutes, then begin cooling while mixing to room
temperature.
Notes:
This mineral oil-free cream provides conditioning especially for dry skin
areas. It has a non-oily, emollient feel. The combination of GLUCATE™
DO and PROMULGEN™ D emulsifiers and GLUCAM™ E-20 Distearate
moisturizing agent gives good emulsification to this system. Lubrajel DV
is used primarily for viscosity, but it is also used in combination with
GLUCAM™ E-20 to provide humectancy.
