Uvariño® : les raisins blancs

The phenolic compounds of vegetarian origin are of molecules that emit unique potentials. They are plant resistance to pathogenic microbial agents (antibiotic action) and protection against solar radiation (screens against UVB dommageables in ADN). Present in large numbers that there is variety in white raisins, CarOi'line in partnership with the Faculty of Chemistry of Saint- Jacques-de-Compostelle has found a way to directly offer these properties for protection, care and ' éclat de la peau.

L'Alvariño of raisins and wine:

White raisins have always been called "vilain petit canard" compared to red raisins (the gypsy), because they have always been considered to have a weak tenor in polyphenols. An erroneous credibility, which probably rests on the absence of "colored" polyphenols in the white raisin. Our work polyphenols at least equivalent to the variety of red raisins. Among these are varieties of white raisins, one of the most particular resort: the white raisin from the Alvariño cabbage, cultivated exclusively in the north-west of the Iberian Peninsula (Galice - Spain - and the north of Portugal) and used for manufacture of excellent white wines of superior quality. From these raisins, we have obtained an active ingredient destined.

Issu du cépage Alvariño, Uvariño®is the fruit of the collaboration between our research group at the University of Saint- Jacques-de-Compostelle and the company CarOi'line Cosmética (Ponteareas, Galice, Spain) and is destined to be used as a natural ingredient in the formulation of various cosmetic products.

Albariño: grape and wine

White grapes have always been the “ugly duckling” when compared to red grapes (the swan), because they have always been regarded as having a lower polyphenol content. This is a false myth, which is probably based on the absence of “colored” polyphenols in the white grapes. Our research shows that at least some varieties of white grapes have similar total polyphenol content to that of the red varieties.Among them, exceedingly stands out the white grape from Albariño variety, grown exclusively in the Northwest of the Iberian Peninsula (Galicia - Spain - and Northern Portugal) and that is used to make excellent top quality white wines. From these grapes, we have obtained an ingredient for cosmetics with very particular properties.
