CASAL DE REY & Cia. Was founded in 1952 by Santos José CASAL DE REY, with its manufacturing establishment located in Wilde at that time.
The first products manufactured by the company were various Metallic Stearates, then at the request of a paint company they began to manufacture the Metallic Afthenates used as drying catalysts in synthetic enamels and varnishes.
These Naphthenates were the precursors of the Octoates that began to be manufactured in the early 70s, from there the Octoates began to have a greater diffusion as drying agents for paints and inks.
The needs of the market with greater demand make it necessary to study the possibility of transferring the Industrial Plant to an Industrial Park, a fact that took place in 1988, moving all the facilities, a fact that took place in 1988, moving all the facilities to the Pilar Industrial Park, current location of the Plant, where we have a greater manufacturing capacity to meet local demand and even export some volumes abroad.

Casal De Rey Calcium Octoate 12% used separately has no effect on the reaction of oxygen in the air with materials that can be polymerized by oxidation. However, in combination with other cobalt, lead and zirconium driers, it produces a reinforcing action of their effect, achieving excellent results with their use, achieving excellent results with their use.

Casal De Rey Calcium Octoate 5% used separately has no effect on the reaction of oxygen in the air with materials that can be polymerized by oxidation. However, in combination with other cobalt, lead and zirconium driers, it produces a reinforcing action of their effect, achieving excellent results with their use, achieving excellent results with their use.

Casal De Rey Manganese Octoate 8% contains manganese which combines oxidation (surface drying) and polymerization (film interior) catalyst properties. Its use is somewhat restricted due to the intense color it communicates to its solutions and being non-toxic, it is nevertheless presented as an option of interest in certain cases.

CASAL DE REY MANGANESE OCTOATE 8%

Casal De Rey Lithium Octoate 1.5% is a very active catalyst for alcoholysis. It does not have the cloudiness problems that can occur when using litharge or lime and is easily dosed in liquid form and acts in solution, avoiding the incorporation of insoluble solids to the reaction, insoluble solids to the reaction.
