Surface Preparation

Always be sure surface is clean, dry, and free from any dirt, grease, oil, wax, or other contaminant. Read the entire label before using. Use only as directed. Always test on a small piece of material or a small inconspicuous area to determine suitability. Ensure the area is well ventilated. Ideal surface temperature should be between 60°F and 80°F. Product works best when it is the first substance applied to the surface, insuring proper penetration.

Applications
  • New Installations- Before & After Grouting: Apply with a solvent-resistant paint roller having a 1/4 to 3/8-inch nap. Saturate paint roller and remove the excess to prevent dripping. Apply one medium/heavy coat before grouting after tiles have been laid in place and set firmly. Roll on sealer liberally, evenly, smoothly, and uniformly. Do not leave voids and puddles. Work in small areas at a time. Let the sealer dry 12-24 hours before grouting. Clean grout and let surface dry 3-4 days to make sure the grout joints are dry before applying the second coat of sealer. Allow the second coat to dry a minimum of 12 hours before applying the third coat if necessary. Gloss will increase as additional coats are added.
  • Pavers: Apply with a solvent resistant paint roller having a 1/4 to 3/8-inch nap. Saturate paint roller and remove excess to prevent dripping. Roll sealer liberally, evenly, smoothly, and uniformly. Allow 12 hours to dry. One medium/heavy coat may be sufficient. Additional coats can be applied to increase gloss or even appearance.
  • Re-application: Remove any floor finish on the surface, and clean thoroughly. Allow 12 hours to dry before sealing. Apply with a solvent resistant paint roller having a 1/4 to 3/8-inch nap. Saturate paint roller and remove excess to prevent dripping. Apply one light coat and allow 12 hours to dry. Additional coats can be added if necessary, to add gloss or even appearance. After the sealer is dry, Top Kote Floor Finish can be added to give the floor a glossy finish and protect the sealer.
  • Wire Cut Brick Pavers: Before grouting, apply a medium coat of sealer with a paint roller having a ¼ inch nap to help protect the tiles from sticking grout. Roll on sealer liberally, evenly, smoothly, and uniformly. Do not leave voids and puddles. Work in small areas at a time. Let the sealer dry 8-24 hours before grouting. Clean grout and let surface dry thoroughly(2-3 days) before applying a second coat in order to seal grout joint.
  • Exposed Aggregate: Apply one heavy coat with a ½ to ¾ inch nap paint roller. Let dry. Usually one heavy coat applied properly is sufficient.
  • Stone: For best results apply with hair bristle paint brush.

Clean up
