Surface Preparation

Always be sure surface is clean, dry, and free from any dirt, grease, oil, wax, or other contaminant. Read the entire label before using. Use only as directed. Always test on a small piece of material or a small inconspicuous area to determine suitability. Ensure the area is well ventilated. Ideal surface temperature should be between 60°F and 80°F. Product works best when it is the first substance applied to the surface, insuring proper penetration.

Applications
  • New Installations- Before & After Grouting: Apply with a solvent resistant paint roller having a 1/4 to 3/8-inch nap. Saturate paint roller and remove excess to prevent dripping. Apply one medium/heavy coat before grouting after tiles have been laid in place and set firmly. Roll on sealer liberally, evenly, smoothly, and uniformly. Do not leave voids and puddles. Work in small areas at a time. Let the sealer dry 12-24 hours before grouting. Clean grout and let surface dry 3-4 days to make sure the grout joints are dry before applying a second coat of sealer. Allow second coat to dry a minimum of 12 hours before applying a third coat if necessary. Gloss will increase as additional coats are added.
  • For Tile, Paver, Or Brick: ULTIMATE 466 may be applied with spray applicator, brush, roller, or lint free rag. Apply liberally with a heavy first coat. Avoid puddles by spreading excess. Second coat can be applied 15 minutes after the first coat. Product cures in 24 hours.
