PETRELAB® 500-Q

1 of 3 products in this brand
PETRELAB® 500-Q is a linear alkylbenzene (LAB) synthesized through the catalytic alkylation of benzene with linear mono-olefins derived from the dehydrogenation process of n-paraffins. Its primary use is as a raw material in the production of linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid (LABSA) through sulfonation reactions, followed by the production of linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS) through neutralization. LAS, an anionic surfactant, is a prominent component in various household detergents, including laundry powders, laundry liquids, dishwashing products, and all-purpose cleaners, in addition to various minor applications across diverse industries.

Chemical Name: Benzene, C10-13-alkyl derivs.

Chemical Family: Aromatics, Linear Alkylbenzenes (LAB)
