Chemline Z-8355M4

Chemline Z-8355M4 is a solvent based fluorocarbon ink. When silkscreen printed around the perimeter of the desired dome area, and dried on a suitable substrate, Z-8351 will confine up to 0.080 inches of liquid polyurethane compound. The film formed by Z8355M4 is translucent and light stable.

Features: Excellent Chalk Resistance, Good Light Stability

Features
  • Stopping Power - Dried ink very effective as a chemical dam for polyurethane dome up to 0.80”.
  • Doming - Dome as soon as practical after drying. There is no ‘shelf life’ to the dried flow stop ink, however the flow stopping action can be damaged by contamination from oils and other substances and by physical scratching.
  • Silk Screening - Ink prints well with 250-300/in mesh screen (100-120/cm). Suggest a perimeter of 1/16” - 1/8” around desired area to dome. Cleans easily with ordinary screen cleaners or MEK, Toluene 1:1.
  • Weathering - 300 Hours sunlighter exposure. (approximately equivalent to 3 years outdoors. No chalking or objectionable visual effect.
Product Highlights

The two part polyurethane resin and equipment can be used for casting, doming, coating, encapsulating and potting numerous applications including domed decals, solar panels, encapsulation, composite construction and coating substrates. Our two-part polyurethane resin and equipment can be used for casting, doming, coating, encapsulating and potting numerous applications including domed decals, solar panels, encapsulation, composite construction and coating substrates. Our resins are automotive grade, clear, weather resistant and non-yellowing. Epoxy resin can also be used for doming, encapsulation and coating porous substrates. The polyurethane doming resin is used on pressure sensitive vinyl’s, metal, plastic, rubber, glass, carbon fiber, solar panels and many other medias to help protect labels, decals, signs, covers, circuitry, etc. Our two-part resin is optically clear and will not yellow outdoors. Our mercury free resin has been successfully used for over 20 years in outdoor applications with minimal degradation. It has the same weathering properties as mercury catalyzed systems as well as the same gel times and cure times.

Non-Yellowing Epoxy like Resin

We offer an epoxy like resin that will not yellow outdoors. It is a non-yellowing resin that is glass hard like epoxy and is not moisture sensitive. It has a fast cure time with less thermal coefficient of expansion than epoxy.

Flow-Stop

Flow-stop is an ink that stops urethanes from flowing beyond its printed boarder. By printing a 1/8” border around what requires urethane, flow-stop will hold the urethane to that area. Flow-stop can be silk screened on to most vinyl, mylars, metal, etc.

Dispensing

Polyurethane Domed Labels - High quality automotive grade polyurethane doming resins give domed labels, decals, emblems and nameplates a protective 3D clear domed surface. Our computer controlled doming equipment is designed for fast turnaround with scripting capability.

UV-Resistant Polyurethane Resin

We offer the best clear polyurethane resin available anywhere. Our UV-resistant polyurethane is a non-yellowing polyurethane product that comes in flexible or rigid formulas. Both are weather-resistant for a minimum of four years. You'll also find solar resin, used for coating solar panels, as well as potting resin, used for coating and encapsulating electronic components. Polyurethane resins are available in either low viscosity or high viscosity, the latter being used for producing higher domes. Whether you're producing polyurethane over vinyl decals or doing specialized casting, coating or encapsulating, we have the quality products you need for the job.

Applications & Uses

Application

Silk screen method. Screen size, 250- 300/in mesh (100 –120cm). Screen a line 1/16”-1/8” wide around the perimeter of the desired dome area. The interior of the line of the ink creates a stopping point for the flow of the polyurethane. The dome cures inside the ring of ink. Avoid sharp points in the design of the flowstop border. Radius sharp corners of the border 1/16”-1/8”.
