Pretreatment

Chassis: The substrate to be treated must be intact and suitable for painting. Broken bricks, bushings and other roof structures, such as the underlayment, must be repaired
or replaced before painting.

Purifying: The roof to be painted is thoroughly cleaned thoroughly by pressure washing or other suitable method. Washing should remove all dirt, grease, oil and other debilitating factors before painting. If necessary, tightly attached crops can be pre-treated with NowoClean.

Painting (brick roof)
Before painting, make sure that the substrate to be painted is completely dry and clean. Use a small painting of the test area to ensure the suitability of the product and its sale to the object to be painted. Check that the conditions are suitable for application. Reserve the required amount of paint and mix the products well before use. It is recommended to mix two different batches of paint.
1st layer: Thin NowoRub with 10-20% clean water for priming. The product is recommended to be applied with a high-pressure sprayer, brush or roller. Paint the area thoroughly and allow to dry for about 3-4 hours (or 3-6 hours depending on conditions) before applying the next coat.
2nd coat: Mix thoroughly and without diluting the required amount of paint for the 2nd coat. Paint the area thoroughly and allow to dry.

Painting (fiber cement roof)
The painting is performed as in brick roofs, but with the difference that the fiber cement roof must be primed with Nowo Uni primer before the first coat of NowoRub. Always consult the importer before offering work and starting a contract on fiber cement roofs.

Drying
NowoRub is a fast drying coating under normal conditions (+20 ° C and below 80% humidity) and can be painted on after about 3-4 hours. Note that the relative humidity, temperature, and wind speed of the air have a significant effect on the drying rate.

Cleaning of tools
Wash tools immediately with soap and water.

Safety & Health

Care Instructions

It is recommended that the painted roof be treated with NowoClean cleaner at least every two years. Normal annual maintenance should be performed on the painted roof.

Environment and disposal
Do not allow to enter drains, water courses or soil. Liquid paint waste is delivered to a hazardous waste collection point. Empty and dry packaging should be taken for recycling or mixed waste.

Storage & Handling

Handling Conditions

The surface to be painted must be dry and warmer than the surrounding air. During the application and drying period the temperature of the ambient air, the surface to be coated and the paint shall be above + 5°C and the relative humidity of the air below 80%. The relative humidity, temperature, and wind speed of the air have a significant effect on the drying rate. The surface temperature must not exceed + 40°C, so that the solvent does not evaporate too quickly, pores form on the paint surface, adhesion decreases, bubbles appear, etc. Schedule the painting work so that the paint film has time to dry before any evening dew settles.
