• Glycosaminoglycans primary role is to maintain the skin’s structural integrity, providing skin tone. GAGs also promote the ability of collagen and elastin fibers to retain moisture.
• Collagen is the major insoluble fibrous protein found in the extracellular matrix of the skin, together with elastin and hyaluronic acid. It plays a key role in the structure of the skin providing rigidity and integrity.
