Cola® Teric JEM

Cola®Teric JEM, derived from mixed caprylic and ethylhexoic acids, is a surfactant with low foaming characteristics that is stable in alkaline medium. Cola®Teric JEM can be sprayed onto dry caustic soda, which will not discolor even after prolonged storage. Cola®Teric JEM is recommended for use in bottle washing compounds, wax stripping formulations, for alkaline degreasing (containing 12 to 18% caustic soda), electrolytic degreasing, and fruit and vegetable lye peeling.

Colonial Chemical Cola Teric JEM Performance Data

Wetting and penetrating properties of Cola®Teric JEM were tested by the DravesClarkson Test in 20% caustic solution at 20°C. A sinking time of 41 seconds was obtained with only 0.175% Cola®Teric JEM. Wetting times were shorter at higher temperatures.
