Poly Suga®Mulse D9 is a PEG-free, nonionic fragrance solubilizer made from 100% biobased raw materials. It is hydrophilic, freely soluble or dispersible in water, and soluble in varying degrees in organic liquids. Poly Suga®Mulse D9 is used for oil-in-water (O/W) emulsification, dispersion or solubilization of fragrances and all types of oils. It is compatible with nonionic, cationic and anionic surfactants and is effective in systems with relatively high levels of electrolyte, acid, or base.

Suga®Nate 160NC is a naturally-derived, high-performance surfactant that provides numerous advantages for a variety of formulations. Using Suga®Nate 160NC, formulators can start with a high-foaming product and build to preferred esthetic properties, without concerns of irritation to eyes and skin. Suga®Nate 160NC is also very low in toxicity and cost-effective when compared to other surfactants used in typical sulfate-free formulations.

Suga®Det Mild is a mild, naturally-derived concentrated blend of sulfate-free surfactants for use as a base for personal care cleansing products. This blend is free of ethoxylates (1,4-dioxane), alcohols, diethanolamides, lauryl sulfates, laureth sulfates, parabens, and formaldehyde. Suga®Det Mild features Suga®Nate 160NC, Colonial’s 100% natural APG-based surfactant that offers high foam and unparalleled mildness. The remaining surfactant ingredients in the blend are also derived from natural, renewable resources.

Cola®Liquid DC is a DEA-free liquid non-ionic surfactant derived from triglyceride oil. Cola®Liquid DC provides excellent foam boosting, viscosity building and foam stabilizing properties. It will readily solubilize most fragrances and essential oils into anionic systems. The product is liquid and very mild to eyes and skin. Cola®Liquid DC can be used in any application where traditional alkanolamide surfactants have been used. Cola®Liquid DC will also boost and maintain foam levels over non-amide systems and other personal care formulations. Cola®Liquid DC combines the best properties of the coco MEA amide and coco DEA amide into one product. The use level for Cola®Liquid DC is going to be typical of those for similar alcohol amide surfactants, generally in the range of 1% to 5% in personal care products.

Cola® Det DEF-61 is a betaine-free surfactant blend with 40% solids designed for liquid mild cleansing formulations such as shampoos, liquid hand soaps, facial and body washes, and feminine products. Cola®Det DEF-61 contains no betaines, sulfates, Diethanolamine (DEA), Ethylene Oxide (EO)/1,4-Dioxane and is shipped preservative-free. Cola® Det DEF-61 builds thick, creamy foam volume with eff ective viscosity response to salt. The concentrate is cold mixable and off ers ease of handling for transport, storage and mixing considerations.

Colonial SCS is a sodium coco-sulfate derived from 100% natural coconut oil. In the needle form, the product is free flowing and disperses easily in water. Heat is required to fully dissolve the product. Colonial SCS provides excellent lather, thickening and conditioning properties. It is also an excellent replacement for most anionic surfactants in personal cleansing products.

Cola® Det EQ-18 is a sulfate-free, gentle, concentrated blend of surfactants for use as a base for high-foam personal care products. The eco-friendly blend is free of alcohol, diethanolamides, lauryl sulfates, laureth sulfates, parabens and formaldehyde. The surfactant ingredients in this blend originate from natural, renewable resources. Cola®Det EQ-18 responds gently to viscosity-building with the simple addition of sodium chloride.

Cola®Teric CAB is a high performance amphoteric surfactant that is stable over a wide pH range. It is compatible with anionic, nonionic and cationic surfactants. The properties of Cola®Teric CAB are not affected by hard water. Cola®Teric CAB exhibits high foaming even in high electrolyte solutions and is stable in 20% sodium hydroxide solution when solubilized with small amounts of hydrotropes. Cola®Teric CAB, made from a whole coconut source, is one of the mildest co-surfactants used for personal care applications and is glycerin-free and preservative-free.

Cola®Teric SLAA is a mild surfactant designed for use in personal care applications. It is compatible with anionic and cationic surfactants and is suggest to be used in shampoos, bubble baths, bath gels and body washes. This product will increase foam, mildness, and viscosity in most anionic/amphoteric formulations.

Cola®Lux SO provides good detergency, exceptionally high foaming, and viscosity forming properties. It can be formulated with anionic, nonionic, and cationic materials. This product is recommended for shampoos, bubble baths, hand soaps, air conditioners, cream rinses, creams and lotions, shaving creams, household products, and industrial and institutional products.

Cola®Quat PDQ is a high molecular weight polyquat based on naturally derived dilinoleic acid from a natural source of saffl ower oil. This unique molecule has no detrimental effect on viscosity when used with sulfates in shampoos and body washes. It has the featured benefit of conditioning due to the presence of twin linoleyl groups. Cola®Quat PDQ is a high active liquid that is free of monomers and is high molecular weight.

Cola® Det EQ-154 is a high foam, spray-dried surfactant blend. It is very mild to both skin and eyes and quickly dispersible in hot or cold water. This product is recommended for powdered products where mildness is important, such as bubble baths and syndet bars. Cola® Det EQ-154 has excellent foam performance.

Cola®Det L116N is is a mild, non-alkanolamide, high-foaming concentrate. It displays multifunctional properties including good detergency and high foaming even at low active levels. Cola®Det L116N generates excellent viscosity and is ideal for use in non-alkanolamide shampoos, bath products, skin cleansers, and light-duty laundry detergents.

Cola®Liquid SCMPA is a easy-to-use liquid cold-mix amide blend that is betaine-free. No heating is required for your formulation – simply use it as you would any liquid ingredient at room temperature into clear products. This product can also be used to solubilize fragrances into formulations. Cola®Liquid SCMPA boosts and stabilizes foam in a wide variety of personal care products and quickly builds viscosity with sodium chloride.

Cola®Lipid ST is a multifunctional, natural triglyceride phospholipid similar to phospholipids that occur naturally in the body. It can be used in a variety of personal care products. This product is non-irritating to the eyes and skin, reduces irritation of anionic activity, and repairs damaged skin and hair.

Cola®Lux O2 is an amine oxide that provides excellent viscosity building, foam stability and moderate foam boosting. Cola®Lux O2 is compatible with most surfactants and will not hydrolyze in acid or alkaline systems due to the absence of amide or ester groups. Used in low concentrations, Cola®Lux O2 provides a silky feel to body washes, liquid hand soaps and other skin cleansers. Cola®Lux O2 may also function as a viscosity builder and an anti-static agent. Cola®Lux O2 is shipped preservative-free.

Cola®Mate DSLS is a very mild, nearly colorless, sulfosuccinate derived from a three mole ethoxylated lauryl alcohol. It provides excellent foam properties which can be enhanced by blending with sodium laureth sulfate. The combination of these two surfactants provides a product that is mild to both skin and eye, has good foam performance, and improves viscosity response.

Cola®Teric 2C is a coco imidazoline-derived dicarboxylic acid amphoteric. It is one of mildest amphoteric surfactants of its class, provides a moderate lather and cleans without removing dermal lipids from the skin to give a rich, conditioning effect. Cola®Teric 2C is stable over a wide pH range and useful for institutional cleaners. Cola®Teric 2C is ideal for use in a wide range of cosmetic applications, including shampoos, hand and facial cleaners, baby wipes, and bath products.

Poly Suga®Glycinate L is made from alkylpolyglucosides which themselves are derived from coconut oil and corn syrup. This product are naturally derived from renewable vegatable resources that are fully biodegradable. It is designed to be used in combination with high foaming surfactants such as sodium laurylglucosides hydroxypropyl sulfonate to make non-irritating personal care cleansing products.

Cola®Mulse PCMX is a 100% active, non-ionic product designed to quickly incorporate chloroxylenol (PCMX) into liquid hand soaps for anti-microbial claims. PCMX is a highly ef-fective broad-spectrum antimicrobial and preservative used to inhibit bacteria, fungi and mold growth. The unique combination of PEG-8 Laurate and Laureth-4 permits Cola®Mulse PCMX to be easily cold mixed into any fi nished product. Unlike other concen-trates, Cola®Mulse PCMX does not contain any drying alcohol and does not have a fl ashpoint. The ingredients used to solubilize the PCMX can also help incorporate fragrances in highly anionic formulas.

Cola®Quat CCG is a safe, natural cationic conditioner derived from coconut oil and is used in hair conditioners, body washes and facial cleansers. It is very substantive but rinses easily from hair, and provides good compatibility with all types of surfactants, no matter what the charge.

Poly Suga®Nate 160P NC is a sulfonated surfactant polymer based on high molecular weight alkyl polyglucoside polymers. Poly Suga®Nate 160P NC is a naturallyderived, high-performance surfactant that provides numerous advantages for a variety of formulations. PolySuga®Nate 160P NC is extremely mild to both eyes and skin compared to traditional anionic primary personal care surfactants.

Cola®Teric CDB is derived from natural fatty acids. It is a mild, unique secondary surfactant that can improve the viscosity response of sulfate-free and conventional anionic surfactant systems. Cola®Teric CDB is formulated for cold processing and easy handling and can also be used as a primary surfactant, foam booster or static control agent. Cola®Teric CDB is compatible with anionic, nonionic and cationic surfactants.

Cola®Mid LMPA is a refined monoisopropanolamide, suitable for use in cosmetic and household formulations. Cola®Mid LMPA offers excellent performance for building viscosity and stabilizing foam. With very low residual free amine, Cola®Mid LMPA is an appropriate replacement for Diethanolamine (DEA) or Monoethanolamine (MEA). There is no DEA present in Cola®Mid LMPA.

Cola®Teric LMB is a high foaming amphoteric surfactant that displays higher foaming and viscosity building properties versus traditional cocamidopropyl betaines in shampoos, skin cleansers, and other mild personal care products. This product foams well, even in high electrolyte solutions. In cosmetic formulations, it shows a marked increase in viscosity along with increased flash foam when formulated with anionic surfactants. It is also valuable in bubble bath formulations where mildness, lime soap dispersing properties, and viscosity building characteristics are necessary.

Cola® Det DEF-25 is an anionic/nonionic/amphoteric surfactant blend. This DEA-free synergistic blend of surfactants provides great foaming and viscosity building in an easy-to-use blend. Upon dilution, Cola® Det DEF-25 can be used in a variety of applications such as shampoos and bath products with a suggested usage of 10% to 40%.

Cola® Det DEF-35 is a high-active liquid pearling agent designed for easy dispersibility at ambient temperatures. Cola® Det DEF-35 is used in pearlescent cosmetic surfactant preparations, particularly for DEA free formulations, and forms an elegant pearl in all liquid personal care formulations. It is added slowly to the batch with moderate agitation to obtain attractive pearlescence and stability. The amount of use will vary from 3-12% based on the pearl effect desired.

Cola®Quat ISD is an effective, anionic compatible quaternary conditioner. It is based on isostearic acid and is sold in an anhydrous, inert solvent. It is approximately 75% active and can be used in a variety of household and personal care products to add lubricity and antistatic properties. Clear, conditioning shampoos and body cleansers can be formulated with Cola®Quat ISD, along with hand cleaners other bath products. Cola®Quat ISD may also be used as an antistatic agent. In shampoos and body wash products, use 0.3 to 1.0% depending on the degree of conditioning desired. In hair conditioner products, about 0.5 to 1.0% are typical use levels.

Cola®Det EQ-19 is a sulfate-free concentrated blend of mild surfactants useful in formulations of alpha and beta-hydroxyl acid cleansers. It contains surfactants that are hydrolytically stable under moderately acid conditions. This product is easily formulated for facial cleansers, body washes and other foaming washes.

Cola®Moist 300P is a polymeric, highly ionized water-soluble compound that enhances water-binding structures. It is hygroscopic at all humidities, attracting and binding water extremely effectively, and provides a higher humidity protective gradient to enhance moisturization on both skin and hair. Its hydrating properties limit water evaporation and serve to retain moisture. Its performance benefits are due to both strong ionic binding and hydrogen bonding within the humectant film matrix.

Cola®Teric HLA and Cola®Teric HFA are high foaming amphoteric surfactants that provide outstanding hydrotroping properties in high electrolyte systems. Additionally, they contribute to wetting, detergency, and rinsibility. These high foaming amphoterics produce a stable, slow draining, dense foam, and is ideally suited for use in household and industrial cleaners, mild personal care cleansers, and oilfield related foamers.

Cola®Lux CAO-35 is an amine oxide that provides good detergency, exceptionally high foaming, and viscosity control properties. When combined in the proper ratio with alkyl sulfates or alkyl ether sulfates, Cola®Lux CAO-35 can be used to develop clear, mild, low pH shampoos/cleansers with substantial conditioning properties. It is useful in a variety of personal care and household applications.

Cola® Det DEF-20 is an anionic/nonionic/amphoteric blend sodium salt. Colonial Chemical’s Cola®Det DEF surfactant concentrates are produced completely DEA/MEA free which generate high viscosity at low solids and produce products that can be built over a wide viscosity range. Elegant and complete products can be easily created that are DEA free with simple addition of perfume, color and other minor ingredients. Cola® Det DEF-20 is designed for personal care formulations that are pH 5.5 to 7.0 and an easy starting point for the creation of many products.

Cola®Teric COAB is a high foaming amphoteric surfactant useful in personal care and industrial applications. Of the Cola®Teric line, this product has the highest overall foam has, but it the least stable and has the quickest flash foam.

Cola®Det OE is a completely formulated system with mild anionic and amphoteric foaming surfactants and a structuring agent. It is prepared and shipped as an easy-to-use lamellar concentrate, and is designed to produce opaque emulsions of typical triglyceride oils without the use of heat. Up to 20 wt. % of an oil can be fully emulsifi ed into water for a stable dispersion. The resulting product can be more fully viscosified with the inclusion of polymeric agents such as guar, xanthan, or cellulosic gums.
