Pepper II perennial ryegrass was selected with salt tolerance in mind, and one of the most effcient ways to improve the health of the turfgrass in salinity stress situations is to select and use salt tolerant varieties like Pepper II. Its salt and drought tolerance provide an excellent turf under the most extreme conditions. First year NTEP results show that Pepper II has excellent salt tolerance, dark color, winter color and Spring green up. Pepper II is a genetically dark variety with excellent wear tolerance. Pepper II is highly recommended for use on golf courses, parks, home lawns, commercial properties and high salinity areas where a fast establishing, high quality turf stand is desired.
