Perennial Rygrass HotShot

Blue Mesa is a true Sheep’s Fescue (festuca Ovina) which is very limited in today’s marketplace. It is designed for low maintenance lawn and landscape areas, but can be a high quality turf when maintained with irrigation. Its low rate of leaf growth allows for infrequent mowings. When Blue Mesa is unmown, it will form a natural meadow type area. Blue Mesa is a bunch type grass with a fine leaf texture and a soft blue-gray leaf color, making it a great choice where a contrast in color is desired. Blue Mesa shows good winter color which differs from many other cool season species that go off-color with winter dormancy. Blue Mesa is a very versatile variety. It has excellent shade tolerance and handles drier shade environments. Blue Mesa is frequently used where soil erosion control is needed. Blue Mesa can also be used in flower bed or wildflower plantings.

Winterlinks is a newer generation dark green cultivar that more closely complements the color of perennial ryegrass and creeping bentgrass. Winterlinks exhibits excellent overall turf quality with dark green color, fine leaf texture, medium to early maturity, and low growth habit. Winterlinks has moderate resistance to Brown Patch, Stem Rust, Powdery Mildew and Red Thread. Winterlinks performs well in cold temperatures and shade. It’s close mowing tolerance and upright growth habit makes it ideal for overseeding on golf course greens.

HotShot® Perennial Ryegrass Blend is formulated as a low cost blend designed to compete in markets where price is the key consideration. Hotshot® Perennial Ryegrass Blend will consist of a minimum of three named varieties. No VNS (Variety Not Stated) material will be included. Hotshot® will germinate quickly for fast establishment. It will transition faster than other genetic varieties. Varieties are subject to change.

Perennial Rygrass HotShot®

Winterway is a high quality turfgrass that exhibits improved turf density, fine leaf texture, and medium-dark green color. Winterway is excellent choice for a mono stand or as a component of a overseeding mixture. It can also be used in mixtures designed for cold and wet conditions. Winterway can handle a close cut, it has recovery capacity, and excellent trafffic tolerance which makes it ideal for overseeding on southern golf course greens. Winterway establishes quickly and provides excellent coverage. Winterway has good resistance to Leaf Spot, Rust, Summer patch, and Dollar spot.

Produced by Oregon’s top growers, Tee-2-Green bentgrasses far exceed the standards of general certified seed. Our seed is free of Poa-annua, Poa trivialis, and all other noxious and unacceptable weed seeds. Recognizable by its stunning blue-green color, Crystal BlueLinks features a semi-erect growth habit, aggressive recovery and great disease resistance, making it an excellent choice for greens, tees and fairways. It’s also able to successfully compete against Poa-annua.

TourPro quickly produces an elegant, low growing turf with a medium fine-leaf surface that is durable. It was rated #1 in Turf Quality in the 2015 NTEP Traffic Stress Trial. TourPro has shown superior disease resistance to Dollar Spot and Pink Snow Mold. TourPro has high shoot density and great density during the growing season which helps crowd out and control poa annua. TourPro was rated #2 in the 2015 NTEP drought stress trial. Using drought tolerant turfgrass varieties like TourPro allows turf managers to conserve water usage. With early spring greenup, TourPro is ready for rounds come spring.TourPro is highly recommended for use on putting greens and wherever a high performing, fine-textured and disease resistant surface is desired.

Gladiator is Columbia Seeds’ new and improved Hard Fescue. Its dark green color and excellent seedling vigor sets the new standard for hard fescue performance. Gladiator has shown excellent performance in the new Fine Leaf Fescue NTEP trials. Gladiator has superior density, seedling vigor and disease resistance. Gladiator is also currently being tested in the Regional Roadside Turfgrass Performance Testing Program. Gladiator is a versatile cultivar used for golf courses, parks, commercial landscape, home lawns, roadsides and low maintenances applications. Gladiator has exhibited excellent turf quality under fairway mowing and is a excellent choice for bunkers, roughs and out of play areas. Gladiator is very shade tolerant and can be used in low maintenance situations. In low maintenance areas Gladiator provides many benefits such as reduced water and fertilizer usage. Gladiator can be used on its own or mixed with other Fine Fescues, Perennial Ryegrass and Kentucky Bluegrass.

Respect offers the highest level of resistance to Heteroderaschachtii and H. Betae ( White beet cyst eelworm and yellow sugar beet nematodes). It has a deep, well developed root system that helps improve soil. Respect has rapid initial development and can produce a high dry matter yield. Respect is commonly used to help break up hard clay pans in soil. Fodder radish has a rapid initial development and can generate high dry matter yields especially with generous supply of nitrogen. The crop can withstand the first ground frosts, thus making it to continue to grow for extended periods.
