Contite® Penetrating Mortar

Contite Penetrating Mortar is used like a conventional mortar is used, but where a waterproof seal is required. Its higher quartz content adds strength while Contite’s ACP3 ingredients create bonding and penetrating action. It is used to fill construction joints, to seal spaces around pipes and penetrations and to fill cracks.

Contite® Penetrating Mortar - Application Drawings

Typical Application
Preparation : Route the junction of the wall and slab to 3/4” or to sound concrete. Ensure surfaces are clean and free of debris.
Contite Penetrating Mortar : Used to fill the junction of the wall and slab and construction joints.
Contite Control : Applied by spray or brush, 2.5 to 3 lbs. per square yard.

Typical Application
Preparation : Route the junction of the wall and slab and any construction joints on the positive side to 3/4” or to sound concrete.
Contite Penetrating Mortar : Used to fill the junction of the wall and slab and construction joints.
Contite Control : Applied by spray or brush, 2.5 to 3 lbs. per square yard on the positive side.
Contite Broadcast : At the time of the placement, Contite Broadcast is applied to the surface of the slab prior to finishing (1 lb. per sq. yd.) while concrete is still.

Contite Broadcast : At the time of the placement of the structural slab, Contite Broadcast is applied to the surface prior to finishing (1 lb. per sq. yd.) while concrete is still plastic.

Typical Application
Preparation : Clean surface and remove any coatings or paint.
Contite Penetrating Mortar : Used to parge the surface of the block wall. A coating of 1/2”
is recommended.
Contite Control : Applied by spray or brush, 2.5 to 3 lbs. per square yard on vertical surfaces and the structural slab.

Typical Application
