Cosphaderm® Dicapo natural RSPO MB is a multifunctional ingredient blend based on natural and COSMOS approved Caprylyl Glycol. By combination with Glyceryl Caprylate and Propanediol we aim to lift anti-microbial product stabilisation with Caprylyl Glycol to the next level. Caprylyl Glycol, as a member of the glycol family, is an emollient with humectant abilities and skin conditioning as well as hair conditioning properties. Glyceryl Caprylate is a high purity monoester of Glycerine and Caprylic Acid. Beside its main action as emollient and emulsifier, it has also moisturizing, wetting and re-fatting properties. Propanediol keeps the other two components in solution for an easy application. It further contributes humectant and emollient properties to the blend. In addition to all these functions, a mild but efficient anti-microbial character is what all three substances have in common. Taken together, the blend has interesting moisturizing and emollient abilities while at the same time offering comprehensive protection against bacteria, yeasts and moulds in a broad pH-range (3.5–7.0) for all kinds of formulations.
