Directions

This product is easily applied by rollcoating, extrusion, or brushing. No mixing is required. For optimum adhesion, surfaces to be bonded should be clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, wax, weak oxide films, mold release agents, and other surface contaminants. Apply the adhesive to one or both of the surfaces to be bonded. No open time is necessary once the adhesive is applied. Surfaces can be assembled immediately. Since this product cures with moisture from the substrates and/or environment, cure times will vary depending upon conditions, to include humidity, moisture content of substrate, and temperature. Cure can be accelerated by spraying a mist of water (2-4 gms/sq’) over the adhesive prior to assembly of the parts. When bonding dry or impervious substrates, the adhesive must be water misted prior to bonding to achieve full cure properties. Clamping is normally required. Spread rate can range from 3-10 wet mils, dependent on substrate and required assembly times.

Storage & Handling

Clean Up and Storage

For cleaning of equipment and work areas, wear protective gloves and remove as much uncured material as possible; then clean with Bio-act citrus cleaner, or industrial solvents such as dibasic ester (DBE), and Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK). For cured material, the use of chemical stripper is suggested. This material is moisture sensitive. Close container when not in use. Always purge partially used containers with dry nitrogen to prevent moisture contamination, which could result in pressurized containers. Moisture contaminated materials cannot be recovered. Store in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry place. Shelf life is 6 months at room temperature, stored in the original unopened container.
