Cipadeck® Paver & Concrete Sealer is a clear solvent based acrylic resin sealer for interlocking pavers and concrete. This sealer is available in gloss and anti-slip finishes that will not yellow on exterior exposure.

  • As a sealer for colored or plain stamped concrete, interlocking pavers on sidewalks, driveways, and both residential and commercial patios
  • As a sealer for both horizontal and vertical exterior concrete surfaces
  • As a sealer for concrete floors in factories and warehouses
Surface Preparation
  • The ideal surface is a clean new surface
  • CIPADECK® Paver & Concrete Sealer should be applied directly after the paving stones are installed, cleaned and allowed to dry completely or the concrete surface is dry
  • Previously installed paving stones or existing concrete surfaces must be clean and dry, free from all grease, oil, laitence and any other foreign matter. If doubt exists as to the condition of the surface, chemical cleaning is recommended
  • Under no conditions should paving stones or concrete surfaces be cleaned by sand blasting
Application
  • Do not dilute with any solvent, Apply as is
  • CIPADECK® Paver & Concrete Sealer must be applied by low pressure sprayer
  • The sprayer must be resistant to acetone solvent (Chapin X-treme™ sprayer or equivalent equipped with a fan tipped nozzle rated 1 gal./min.)
  • Roller application is not recommended
  • A light second coat may be required for uniformity in some cases
  • Allow the first coat to dry for 24 hours prior to application of second coat
  • Do not over apply the second coat
  • This sealer is packaged in white pails to avoid heating in warm weather
  • Solvents contained in this sealer are very flammable
  • Prior to application over previously applied sealers always test to ensure compatibility
Limitations
  • CIPADECK® Paver & Concrete Sealer is not recommended for:
  • Application to damp or wet surfaces
  • interior applications of occupied buildings
  • Application as a chemical resistant coating
  • Areas where solvent exposure is a service condition
  • Application to carbonated concrete
  • Application in direct sunlight
  • Application in extreme temperatures
  • Application during high winds
  • Application below 5°C (40°F) for best results condition material to 10°C(50°F) prior to application
Coverage

First Coat - 4.9m²/L - 7.4m²/L (200-300ft/U.S. gal) depending on porosity and surface texture
Optional Second Coat - 7.4m²/L - 9.8m²/L (300-400ft/U.S. gal)

Clean up

Clean equipment with CPD Xylol immediately after application.

Storage & Handling

Storage
  • Store product indoors away from heaters, open flame or any other ignition sources
  • Keep containers closed when not using product
  • Freezing will not affect product but temperature of product before use must be 10°C (50°F) minimum prior to using
Shelf Life

Two years from the date of manufacture when stored in original unopened container under normal warehouse conditions.
