Creative Engineers, Inc. C-Etch C is a sodium-naphthalene based etchant made with Diglyme used in applications that require a less aggressive surface treatment. Commonly referred to as “blonde” etch, C-Etch C can be stored at room temperature and has a much higher flashpoint than C-Etch A or B. The principal advantage of C is the high flashpoint, but it may require heating to get maximum etch quality.

Creative Engineers, Inc. C-Etch A consists of a sodium naphthalene complex dissolved in a Glyme solvent. Specifically, CEI incorporates Ethylene Glycol Dimethyl Ether (Monoglyme) because of its affinity to complex sodium and naphthalene. With its high solubility limit for sodium naphthalene, Monoglyme proves to be an excellent choice for sodium-rich etching solutions.

Creative Engineers, Inc. C-Etch M is a proprietary product striking a balance between the best properties of C-Etch A and C-Etch C. The etch quality is indistinguishable from A, it does not require heating yet has a higher flashpoint and sodium content.
