Cutting and Grinding Fluids CG 4696 is a higher flash point, solvent blended rust preventative. The product is formulated for the indoor protection of parts in environments where high humidity and salt spray can be a problem (overseas shipments and seaside warehouses). CG 4696 affords excellent protection of parts, and provides superior water displacement characteristics. It is also non- staining to metal surfaces (stacked and coiled parts will not blemish).

CG 4696 is to be used straight from the container, and parts should be sprayed or dipped to insure total coverage and protection. CG 4696 is NOT formulated for outdoor storage (even if tarped). CG 4696 may be removed from parts with an alkaline cleaner like KW 1000.

CG 4696 should be stored at room temperatures (between 55 to 95 °F). Keep away from sparks, open flames, and other sources of ignition as product and empty containers could contain combustible, flammable, or ignitable substances. Do not weld or cut empty drums.
