CYGYC BIOCON S.L. Biorepas

CYGYC BIOCON S.L Biorepas is a liquid enzymatic preparation of high pectolythic activity, obtained by controlled fungal fermentation of Aspergillus sp.. BIOREPAS has been optimized for treating pastes in order to extract olive oil. Its high content in pectinases and its residual hemicellulasic activity allow in-depth disgregation of the vegetable tissue. The pectins that constitute the cement between the cells of the pulp are dissolved and the cellular walls are broken by the cellulasic enzymes to release protoplasmas, from which the oil contained in the central vacuole is released. The result is greater oil production in the process through the use of presses or decanters. The released oil is more easily separated from the juice, as the enzymes alter the stabilizing membranes that are formed around the finer drops during the beating. The drops of oil gather more easily and a less viscous juice is obtained with smaller oil content and which separates more clearly.

Features & Benefits

Food Ingredients Features
Advantages
  • Improves the yield in extracting the oil from the waste olive
  • A cleaner oil is obtained in the vertical centrifuge (nitidity).
  • Smaller oil content in waste olive (dry).
  • Improves resistance to oil oxidation (according to the rancimat method)

Applications & Uses

Usage Dose

BIOREPAS is normally used at a dose of 100g per tons of waste olive from a two-phase decanter. The dose must be adjusted in the crusher as it depends amongst other things on factors such as the olive variety, the maturity in harvesting and the stacking time. The effect of the enzyme is more pronounced when the temperature is raised to 40ºC and the process time is extended. Its use is essential when a good yield is pursued along with high-quality oil without the use of solvents.

Form of Use

It is dosed on the waste olive mass using a proportional dosing pump at a dose of 100g of BIOREPAS per ton of waste olive.

Safety & Health

Safety & Hygiene
  • Harmful product. Possible sensitisation through inhalation.
  • Do not breathe the aerosols. Avoid contact with skin. Use suitable protective clothing and gloves.

Packaging & Availability

Packaging

BIOREPAS comes in 25Kg containers.

Storage & Handling

Storage
  • It is best stored in a cool place, at temperatures of under 20°C it maintains its normal activity for 6 months.
  • When stored at 4-5ºC in a cold room, it maintains its nominal activity for a year.
