BioVXR® acid-resistant capsules protect acid-vulnerable ingredients from gastric acid and release in intestinal tract. - Well-suited for acid-sensitive ingredients, such as Probiotic and Enzyme dosages
Characteristics of acid resistance & delayed release in intestinal tract are great for acid-vulnerable ingredients, such as probiotics, enzymes, collagen, ginkgo, grape seed .and so on. In addition, BioVXR® has advantages of HPMC capsules - low moisture, making it well-suited for hygroscopic formulations. - No additional coating or banding process
Without using chemical solvents can reduce destruction of ingredients during production.
Shorten the new product development process and verification, new product can be launched to market in shorter period of time. -
Made of natural ingredient - HPMC
BioVXR® acid-resistant capsules are made of HPMC(Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose), which is derived from the pine tree cellulose. HPMC is approved as “Generally Recognized as Safe” (GRAS) by the US FDA. BioVXR®, certified by Vegetarian Society, Halal & Kosher, complies with our customers who have a cultural or vegetarian needs.

- BioVXR® Dissolution
Indicator for observation
• After 120 minutes of the pH1.2 environment, the dissolution rate must be lower than 10%.
• After 45 minutes of the pH6.8 environment, the dissolution rate must be higher than 80%.Gelatin Capsules
After 30 minutes of the pH1.2 environment, gelatin capsules are nearly dissolved which have no protection for ingredient.
HPMC Capsules
After 120 minutes of the pH1.2 environment, the dissolution rate is 55.8% which half of the ingredient has been released.
BioVXR® acid resistant HPMC capsules
After 120 minutes of the pH1.2 environment, the dissolution rate is lower than 10%, which has protection for the ingredient.
After 45 minutes of the pH6.8 environment, the dissolution rate reached 89.18%, which most of the absorption occurred in
intestinal tract.
Other delayed release capsules
