DAY-GLO Optical Brighteners are recommended for leak detection and product identification when exposed to UV light. These brighteners are highly fluorescent under UV light (black light). They also offer good solubility and thermal stability.

Applications & Uses

Applications and Uses

Supplied in dry form, these optical brighteners have broad application in adhesives; colored or uncolored coatings for identification; non-destructive testing of metal parts, and many other varied areas. Recommended usage level is approximately 0.1%. D-298 is recommended for solvent systems. D-298 can also be used in plastics such as PS, PVC, and PET at temperatures up to 550ºF
